HIGH LEVEL MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON THE ROLE OF REGIONAL ECONOMIC COMMUNITIES, REGIONAL MECHANISMS AND GOVERNMENTS IN THE PROMOTING YOUTH PEACE AND SECURITY AGENDA IN THE SOUTHERN AFRICAN REGION
A high-level ministerial conference on the role of regional economic communities, regional mechanisms and Governments in the promoting youth peace and security agenda in the Southern African regionwas held in Harare, Zimbabwe. The conference was a collaboration between the African Union Commission, COMESA, ACCORD, SAVE THE CHILDREN, INSTITUTE OF SECURITY STUDIES, Horn of Africa Youth Network and SAPPC. The provided a space for an intergenerational Dialogue between ministers of youth in Southern Africa. At the conference, the government of Zimbabwe committed to developing a National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security.
